What Is The Production Process For High-alumina Bricks?

The production process for high-alumina bricks is largely similar to that of fireclay bricks; however, they differ in terms of the proportion of calcined material (chamotte) used, the firing temperature, and the level of mechanization. The raw material-bauxite-undergoes calcination, crushing, iron removal, mixing, pressing, drying, and high-temperature sintering before being packaged and warehoused. Sintering temperatures typically range from 1400°C to 1500°C, with some processes reaching as high as 1700°C.

 

The manufacturing process for high-alumina bricks is complex, with every stage being critical, resulting in a product of significantly higher quality than standard refractory bricks.
