1. Product Description

The tap hole opening and plugging machine (tapping robot) is an important equipment used in submerged arc furnaces, specifically designed for opening and plugging the tap hole (furnace taphole). During the production process of a submerged arc furnace, when tapping is required, the machine opens the tap hole to discharge molten metal. After tapping is completed, the machine uses a mud gun to inject refractory clay (a type of refractory material) into the tap hole, thereby sealing it. This process requires precise control and sufficient pressure to ensure tight and stable sealing, preventing high-temperature molten metal inside the furnace from continuing to flow out.
