The lining of a silicon metal electric furnace is the inner lining of the submerged arc furnace body. It is mainly composed of insulation materials, refractory materials, and carbon materials, and is used to resist and prevent heat loss from the high-temperature furnace chamber. It ensures the safe and stable progress of electro thermal reactions inside the furnace and is also an important guarantee for low energy consumption and high production efficiency. Therefore, the furnace lining is a critical component of industrial silicon electric smelting equipment.

This furnace lining has the following advantages:

2. The heat-insulating furnace lining provides better energy-saving performance than condensation-type or air-cooled furnace linings.

3. The composite corundum bricks and microporous carbon bricks used in this lining configuration can withstand harsh smelting conditions caused by intensified or overload smelting operations, offering a longer service life than traditional lining configurations.

4. The carbon materials in the high-temperature furnace hearth area are constructed using a seamless tight-joint masonry method. Under rapid heating and cooling conditions during thermal loading, the joints are smaller than those of traditional wide-joint masonry, effectively resisting the penetration of high-temperature molten silicon and silicon vapor, thereby extending the service life of the furnace lining.

The tap hole and surrounding areas are treated with special high-temperature-resistant, anti-oxidation, and anti-leakage technologies, effectively improving the operational safety and service life of this vulnerable section of the furnace.
