1. Product Description

High-alumina brick is a refractory material with an alumina content above 48%. It belongs to the category of neutral refractory materials and is widely used as lining material in industrial kilns and furnaces.

According to different alumina content levels, high-alumina bricks can be classified into Grade I, Grade II, and Grade III high-alumina bricks:

Grade I high-alumina brick is a refractory brick mainly composed of alumina (Al₂O₃), with an alumina content generally above 75%. It features excellent refractoriness, wear resistance, and corrosion resistance.

Grade II high-alumina brick is a refractory brick mainly composed of alumina (Al₂O₃) and silica (SiO₂), with an alumina content generally ranging from 60% to 75%.

Grade III high-alumina brick is a commonly used refractory brick with an alumina (Al₂O₃) content ranging from 48% to 60%.

High-alumina bricks are mainly composed of alumina (Al₂O₃), silica (SiO₂), and a certain proportion of clay, quartz sand, and other minerals, among which alumina is the key factor determining the performance of the refractory brick. The manufacturing process includes raw material batching, mixing, forming, drying, and firing. The raw materials are precisely proportioned, uniformly mixed, formed, dried, and finally fired at high temperatures.

The company uses high-grade bauxite clinker with an Al₂O₃ content of ≥75% and adopts a high-temperature firing process at 1750°C. The products feature an apparent porosity of ≤22% and a compressive strength of ≥60 MPa. The products comply with the quality management system standards GB/T 19001-2016 / ISO 9001:2015 and EU CE certification requirements. The products are exported to Southeast Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Central Asia, and other regions. The company holds 13 patents related to refractory materials.

2. Features & Advantages
 

⑴ High refractoriness

The refractoriness of high-alumina bricks increases with the rise of Al₂O₃ content and is generally not lower than 1750–1790°C. For corundum bricks with an Al₂O₃ content above 95%, the refractoriness can reach 1900–2000°C.

⑵ High load softening temperature

The load softening temperature of high-alumina brick products is higher than that of clay brick products, generally around 1420–1530°C. For corundum bricks with an Al₂O₃ content above 95%, the load softening temperature can exceed 1600°C.

⑶ Strong slag resistance

Due to the neutral nature and high content of alumina (Al₂O₃) in high-alumina brick products, they have strong resistance to the erosion of both acidic and alkaline slags.

⑷ High strength

High-alumina brick products possess high strength because of their high firing temperature, high density, and fine crystalline phases.

⑸ Good high-temperature stability

High-alumina bricks can be used for long periods in high-temperature environments. The oxide crystalline phases formed after firing are more stable than the original raw materials.

⑹ Stable volume

If high-alumina brick products are fired at a sufficiently high temperature and for an adequate duration, they exhibit stable volume and minimal permanent linear change after reheating.
