1. Product Description
The submerged arc furnace electrode system is the lifeline of electric furnace smelting. It is responsible for transmitting high voltage, conducting large currents, compensating for electrode consumption, and controlling electrode positioning.
Our company's submerged arc furnace electrode system mainly includes: electrode lifting and slipping system, electrode holder system, and bus tube system, equipped with a new hydraulic control system and a fully automatic control system.
The electrode lifting and slipping system adopts a "hanging cylinder–upper clamp fixed type" structure, featuring a simple system design and compact installation space. The upper clamp is integrally designed with the civil platform and relatively fixed to the hydraulic cylinder body. The extension and retraction of the hydraulic rod drive the lower clamp and electrode movement. Electrode slipping is achieved through controlling the opening and closing of the upper and lower clamps.
The electrode holder adopts a "bellows-pressure ring type" structure, suitable for large-current furnace operations, with strong overload capacity and excellent operability. The supporting hydraulic system uses a newly designed configuration with separated pressure grades, simplifying the control valve groups.
The bus tube system includes conductive copper tubes and water-cooled cables, used to transfer the high current from the transformer to the copper contact shoes and then to the electrodes. The bus tube structure is designed with emphasis on the principles of "symmetry, shortness, and compactness," minimizing reactive power losses as much as possible and providing a solid foundation for maintaining a high natural power factor of the complete equipment system.

Quality Control
After completion of the design, fully automated laser cutting of raw materials, machining, assembly welding, pre-assembly, and multi-level production quality inspections are carried out.
A "7 inspections + 1 certification" quality management system is adopted, including: incoming raw material inspection, machined component inspection, welding process inspection, ultrasonic flaw detection, pre-assembly inspection, pressure testing, export packaging inspection. After completion of all inspections, a product quality certificate is issued.
