The bellows pressure ring is fabricated from welded stainless steel plates and features a split-type structure with internal water cooling. The bellows expansion box is also constructed from welded stainless steel and is filled with water-glycol coolant, enabling pressure reduction during electrode slipping operations.

1. Product Description

The electrode holding device adopts a bellows pressure-ring type electrode holder. The bellows pressure ring is fabricated from welded stainless steel plates and features a split-type structure with internal water cooling. The bellows expansion box is also constructed from welded stainless steel and is filled with water-glycol coolant, enabling pressure reduction during electrode slipping operations.

The assembly consists of mantle, pressure ring, copper contact shoes, conductive copper tubes, and upper and lower protective screens. The use of bellows expansion boxs allows each expansion box to apply radial pressure individually to its corresponding copper contact shoe, without being affected by electrode inclination or surface conditions. This ensures uniform pressure between the copper contact shoes and the electrode, minimizes current imbalance, and extends the service life of the copper contact shoes.

The electrode holder is one of the core components of a submerged arc furnace and is responsible for conducting electrical current to the electrode. The furnace adopts a bellows pressure-ring type electrode holder. The copper contact shoes are manufactured as integrated cup-type forged T2 copper components, with 10 contact shoes per phase. Each phase is equipped with 10 stainless steel lower protection shields (with U-shaped bottom sealing). The pressure ring is made of stainless steel, while the bottom ring is manufactured from T2 copper.

Material

The protection shields and pressure ring are made of 06Cr18Ni11Ti stainless steel, while the copper contact shoes and bottom ring are made of T2 copper.

1. Production Process

After completion of the design, fully automated laser cutting of raw materials, machining, assembly welding, pre-assembly, and multi-level production quality inspections are carried out.

2. Quality Control

A "7 Inspections and 1 Certificate" management system is adopted, including incoming raw material inspection, machined component inspection, welding process inspection, ultrasonic flaw detection inspection, pre-assembly inspection, pressure testing, and export packaging inspection. After completion of all inspections, a product qualification certificate is issued.
