1. Product Description

The water-cooled bottom ring is a key component of the electrode holder in a submerged arc furnace. It is installed at the bottom of the electrode holder and is primarily used to protect other components mounted on the holder, such as the protection screen, conductive tube, copper contact shoes, etc. A cooling water channel is integrated inside the bottom ring to reduce its operating temperature through water cooling.

The water-cooled bottom ring is mainly available in three material configurations:
1. Stainless steel type – fabricated by forming and welding stainless steel plates.
2. Pure copper type – manufactured by integral forging of T2 copper.
3. Copper-steel composite type – fabricated by welding a steel top plate to a copper bottom plate.

All three types utilize water cooling to effectively reduce operating temperatures.

1. Production Process

After the design is completed, the production process includes: fully automatic laser cutting of raw materials, machining, assembly and welding, pre-assembly, and multi-level production quality inspections.

2. Quality Control

A "7 inspections + 1 certification" quality management system is adopted, including: incoming raw material inspection, machined component inspection, welding process inspection, ultrasonic flaw detection, pre-assembly inspection, pressure testing, export packaging inspection. After completion of all inspections, a product quality certificate is issued.
